We will brain storm how to help Jewel learn the hula.
Makena said that we need to get Jewel the clothes first! Jewel said, "yeah"
Rent a DVD from the library on Hula.
Gary said she needs to watch it.
Raven said that she needs to be able to stand.
Jewel said, "Read a Hula book!", "Kanai doll dance", great ideas Jeweli.
Just before I left for work Jewel yelled out, "I luv you, hug" These are the small things that keep the world turning because they are actually the big things xx
Jewel had a great P/T session, part was done while Jewel was in her wheel chair. Carol does mayofascial release to Jewel's head and neck while she is in the chair. Jewel loves her squirt gun and even though it is extremely difficult to hold and squirt she enjoys holding it and trying. So we helped her squirt her sissies and her therapist - in the house! They were sure to get me as well. Then we worked with Jewel in the gait trainer, and then more mayofascial release on the floor. It is so nice to watch this gentle release. Usually I miss these sessions due to work or I walk in and interrupt bringing my wound up energy sometimes being a distraction, at least I feel as though I am. Today I was at the session from the onset and it went smoothly, it is nice to see Jewel listening and responding to Carol. She trusts Carol and they have a nice working relationship. Carol got Jewel so loose and relaxed that she was able to jiggle her (shimmy), and they worked on Hula type therapeutic moves, this made Jewel so very happy! Thank you Carol :) and Makena for staying and watching, helping and always willing to learn as to better help Jewel. After Carol left I took Jewel to the bathroom and she was so relaxed it was nice. Her body was soft and supple, not hard and stiff or ridged. Raven, Jewel and Gary went to the pool for a little water time, it was a good afternoon. It was too windy so they came home early. Jewel's hands are open, open to receive the gifts of the universe.
